For orthopedic practices
See what remote therapeutic monitoring can earn your practice.
Enter your monthly patient volume, expected reimbursement and denial rate. The calculator shows the RTM revenue your practice collects, what SurgicalRx costs, and what your practice keeps. It opens with typical numbers from what we've seen working with orthopedic practices, including a realistic denial rate, and reimbursement set to 2026 Medicare national rates. Replace any of them with your own.

Assumptions
- Rates are national averages before geographic (GPCI) adjustment. Your Medicare locality, Medicare Advantage and commercial contracts will differ; enter your own average if you know it.
- The rate is the full allowed amount. Medicare pays 80%; the patient or a secondary payer owes the other 20%.
- The one-time setup code 98975 (about $22 per episode) is not included, so the default is conservative.
- Annual figures are the monthly run rate times 12. The first month or two run lower while the first patients move through the program.
- Each code has billing requirements, such as 16 or more days of device data for 98977 and interactive communication for 98980.
- Sources: CMS Physician Fee Schedule lookup; 2026 RVU values via 98977, 98980, 98981.
